Last December, I had the opportunity of hosting a Surprise 40th Birthday Party for an awesome guy- Wale in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I feel like Mexico always has one particular happening spot in different seasons. One time it was Los Cabos, another time it was Tulum and now it is Puerto Vallarta.
How to get there from ATL
To get there we boarded a 4 hour direct flight from Atlanta.
Where to stay
We stayed at the beautiful Conrad Hotel in Punta De Mita. The hotel was beyond beautiful. As a serial germophobe, I can tell you I was very at peace at this hotel. I highly recommend it.
I must start by giving a big shout out to the celebrant’s wife Dami and the planner extraordinaire Flakky of @eventsoclock (on IG). As an Emcee, I have had the opportunity to work with several planners but this is definitely one of the most organized and best planning I have ever experienced.
First things first, we had to surprise the celebrant. This means I had to come up with an idea with the guests to surprise him. I am glad we pulled it off because he was truly surprised.
We also had other activities such as golfing and we got to go on a boat cruise. These costs were all covered by the host Dami #allmyfriendsareballers oh 🙂
We also got to go on a boat cruise. That was so much fun. Check out the look for the boat cruise
Now lets get into some of the FASHIONNNNNNN!!!
Here are some of my favorite looks from Puerto Vallarta
Now lets get into the main event. I remember drafting the agenda and telling Dami that I was super nervous….I think because the celebrant is a seasoned Compere himself so you know #thepressurewasgettingwesser :). I had to come up with the perfect program/agenda for him. I wanted it to be unique to him. All in all, we definitely had a blast. Lets start with the gorgeous decor. Flakky of @eventsoclock (on IG) outdid herself. This was beyond beautiful. Listeennnnn!!! Holla at her for all your events if you dont want it to end in premium tears.
Nah we had a blast…this is by far one of the best trips I have ever been on in my entire life. I thoroughly enjoyed hosting it. Thanks for having me Dami and Wale.
