VIVA LAS VEGAS!!!-Busola at 40

Last week I flew to Vegas to celebrate and host for my absolutely beautiful SIL Busola as she turned 40. I don’t call her my sister in-law. I call her my “sisterbaebae”. Busola is my older brother’s wife and has been a part of our family for over 23 years. She also doubles as one of my closest friends….an interesting dynamic but we love it…lol.

This was my first time in Las Vegas and I must say it was beyond fun. I am so glad that this is how I experienced Vegas. Busola planned this entire trip down to a T! We stayed at the beautiful Cosmopolitan Hotel. That hotel was amazing. It was so huge!!!

Lets talk about some fashion. Day 1 was Busola’s brunch and I missed it unfortunately as I had to stay back for my son’s 9th birthday. Mommy guilt would not allow me go.

Day 2 was the Usher show. We got to see Usher live in Vegas. Gosh that man is a PERFORMERRRR!!! If you are in Vegas right now, be sure to see the Usher show. For the fashion, Busola asked that the dress code be Rock Star Glam. Not my typical style but I figured anything with leather and some bling would do. I happened to have this leather two piece that I purchased from one of those IG vendors a very long time ago. Truth is I have never worn it because it did not fit…I must have dropped a few pounds as it suddenly fit. P.S my wig was made and laid by ATL’s baddest wig stylist . Day 3 was her broken into 2 parts. First we had a pool party

Followed by her Birthday Dinner which was hosted by me OF COURSE…lol

I opted for this simple cape gown which I had custom created by a tailor down the street from me. I paired it with my Pearl Acrylic Metal Top Handle bag by Cult Gaia and Amina Muaddi Transparent Begum Slingback. For some reason I am just now paying attention to the Cult Gaia brand and I absolutely love that their pieces are affordable and so stylish. My shoes were sourced by my personal shopper (my size in these shoes are extinct in the US….lol) who is based in the UK. Her IG handle is @shopwithrodeo ….AM shoes can be hard to find in the states so I highly recommend her as she is THE PLUG.

Following this we all got into a party bus…and took a tour of Vegas. Gosh what an experience!

It was nice to see the famous Vegas sign…tourist mode activated!!!

This is how I signed out of Vegas. How cute is this Burberry Hooded Cape ??? This was gifted to me by a friend/client Dami for a job well done when I hosted her hubby’s 40th last year in Mexico. Thank you so much Dami. I appreciate it so much!. Btw my comfortable two piece work out wear is from Amazon. I hope to open an Amazon storefront soon on my IG so that I can link these things…hope yall don’t be sleeping on Amazon??? They be lowkey getting it…lol.
