Wow!!! A time was had!!! I recently had the grand opportunity of co-hosting The Intentional Woman Award. This event was led by the fabulous Dr. Florence Fasan (CEO of the Miss Elegance Georgia Beauty Pageant) and I love that it fell on the week of International Women’s Day. Dr. Fasan has a passion for supporting women. She is also passionate about the girl child and she does such an amazing work through her pageant. She embodies the phrase “Women Supporting Women”. I am truly inspired by her. This was a sold out show. Lets start with the Fashion. I chose to wear this fabulous dress by Nigerian Designer Ann Cranberry This look was styled by the beautiful Nollywood Costume Designer Yolanda Okereke I love that it is a convertible dress meaning I can detach the train and wear it as a mini dress.
The icing on the cake for me was getting to co-host with the beautiful Nollywood super star Stella Damasus (SD). I grew up watching her and I wanted to become a Nollywood actress one day because of her (that dream came true as I have starred in a few Nollywood movies…surprise). I must confess I was STAR STRUCK!!! Shocking because I am never star struck by anyone but I was. Stella Damasus is beyond beautiful in person. She is so friendly, humble and genuinely kind hearted. What an honor! I love her professionalism. She was so keen on details and super thorough.
Congratulations to all the recipients. There is nothing better than giving women their flowers and celebrating them. My heart was filled with joy.
It was also nice to meet the Queens from different years of the Ms. Elegant Georgia Pageant.
