Last Mothers Day, my girlfriends and I decided to leave our children with their fathers and head to Costa Rica to live our best lives…and live our best lives we sure did. I enjoyed the company of my girlfriends. We always have a blast with each other. The hotel was amazing and the food was really good. We stayed at the Planet Hollywood and I highly recommend it. I may do a separate review on the hotel.
We planned several activities for each day with each day having a different theme.
Honest Conclusion: The people you travel with matter. Being in the company of my girlfriends really made it a fun trip. Now that said, I have a confession…ever gone to a place and told yourself “yea I aint ever coming back here”??? Yea that is me with Liberia, Costa Rica…its just not a place I would go to twice..my ideal vacation consists of clear skies, white sands, blue waters and sadly Liberia, Costa Rica did not do that for me…it was not aesthetically pleasing. It was very rain forest-ish and lowkey gave me Naija village vibes…they even had palm wine…not kidding…we brought palm wine back to America. lol. I will come back to Costa Rica again but definitely not Liberia, Costa Rica.
With that being said lets get into the fashion. Quick disclaimer on my vacation fashion. Sometimes I splurge on vacation clothes…if it is a practical outfit that can be worn on an everyday basis. Sometimes I dont…like some of the outfits below cannot be worn in my regular day to day mommy life around Atlanta. Fashion is what you make of it and sometimes I love mixing high end with low end.
The White Boat Outfit was worn for our boat cruise. I wore it with a pair of white biker shorts underneath because it was too revealing and I paired it with my Large Christian Dior Book Tote and Christian Dior Dway slides
Color block two piece outfit paired with my Louis Vuitton Alma BB in Epi Leather and yellow Hermes Oran sandals (similar here)
Green halter neck romper paired with my Fendi First 105 mules and straw bag (a gift from my sister)
Bright green romper paired with my Louis Vuitton Kirigami purse and metallic Hermes Oran sandals (similar here)
Double Crazy Layered Ruffle Hem Leopard Dress paired with my Chanel Coco Handle bag (similar here) and rose colored Hermes Oran sandals (similar here)
Black Sheer Ruffle One Shoulder paired with Alexander Wang Logo Elastic Leggings and Hermes Swift Jige Elan Clutch sourced from Fashionphile. The lime green sandals were bought from Target about 6 years ago.
We also planned several activities for each day. On Day 1, we hosted a Pajama party where we all wore matching robes sourced from Amazon.
On Day 2, we organized an all white boat party and sailed to the other side of Liberia, Costa Rica,
On day 3, we ziplined and rode ATVs.
Mud and mascara tee worn for ATV/Ziplining sourced from Etsy.
Overall we had a blast and I am looking forward to the next Girls Trip.
